Enjoy your next voyage, my friend. You have gone from coast to coast with a few stops along the way. We had some good times and perhaps we will again. I hope the trip goes well and look forward to additions to your blog. I’ll think of you from the ski slopes. Rick

Howard, I look forward to the updates. Incidently, if there is any chance that you’ll be in San Diego at Thanksgiving, I will be there with Stanton and the girls with my folks.. Please join us.

Weather looks good for your trip except for coastal fog. You might encounter remnants of hurricane ‘Irwin’ near Cabo, though, as it is the season, something else tropical could develop by the time you arrive .

  5. Love your comments – all. I’ll do the best I can to do updates, but the technology is an issue and updates will be sporadic.

  6. Howard: It’s snowing in Long Island Sound today (29 October ! I’m sure your weather, where-ever you may be, is better than ours. Also, our sailing season is OVUH. Yours is just beginning. Fair winds (nothing over 25), Bernie

I had the pleasure of sailing on the Arctic Tern III’s maiden voyage from Bellingham to Prince William Sound, Alaska, in 1981. Here is an account of that voyage: http://alaskaatitude.blogspot.com/2012/07/singin-them-songs-about-them-storms-at.html
It’s great to see she’s still sailing in good hands, fair winds with that stout boat.

Thanks for that comment Tim, particularly the website/blog_ ’60* North’. Readers; On the left hand side there is a posting on the ‘HMS Bounty’ with an interesting human interest note about one of the crew lost in the Bounty disaster… Claudene Christian.

Err… that would be the blog/website ‘Alaska with Attitude’. My step dad grew up in Alaska so I have provided him with the Link…thanks again for the post, Tim.

The idea that the boat might be between South Africa and the Caribbean, kind of gave me a chill. Great to know she is still on an adventure and it made me wish i was along. Thanks for the update.
